Swina is a guitarist and a vocalist who performs original music in SL, created solely by him in his RL home studio. He loves playing blues, jazz, funky and fusion and counts BB King, Eric Clapton, Robben Ford and Santana among his favorite musicians.

Who is the man behind the avatar?
Swina is an IT manager whose life has always gone with the music.
When he was 14 he bought his first Eko guitar and he started playing and writing his own music. He loves also playing keyboard and piano:he has an awesome 1920 's Hofman-Khune piano on whose ivory keyboard he took his first jazz piano lessons...but the guitar was always on his way.When electronic music was accessible to his pocket he bought his first Roland hardware sequencer and a Roland synth and arranger. Soon after he got a Yamaha like strato electric guitar with a 100 W Montarbo valve ampli. What a deal !

One year ago he discovered the virtual stages in Second Life, where he has packed all the inworld venues where he performs. His love of the jazz/blues genre comes through in his melodic verses and smooth rhythms.

He only performs original tunes Sbut sometimes he sings in his own way some greatest tunes:Springsteen's "Devils and Dust" and Sergio Endrigo's "Io che ho amo solo te" among his favourites.

Most of the original songs are licensed under Creative Commons License and are free to download (some right reserved).

Swina also believes that music contamination is the most interesting thing for a musician: a way to meet musicians all over the world, to develop a new sound and to feel new emotions.
He is also used to play guitar in jamming sessions with SL artists like UKD Project (live), Ezcape Hax (using ninjam), Ridha Cooljoke (live). He has also recorded guitar and piano tracks for Jax Streeter, Ezcape Hax and UKD Project songs.

Swina's Mood è ormai divenuto un appuntamento consueto sulle land di Italia Vera durante il quale è posibile per il pubblico incontrare da vicino i propri beniamini per sentirli raccontare le loro passioni e i loro progetti sia inworld che nel mondo reale.
Oggi , mercoledi 8 luglio l'appuntamento è alle 1:00 pm slt (22:00 italiane) all' Ex-Sense , il locale di tendenza situato nella "Strada dell'Arte" di Milano Vera(http://slurl.com/secondlife/Italia%204%20Milano/147/143/33).
La musica di Swina affonda le sue radici nel blues ma risente anche di influenze rock(Carlos Santana e Weather Report) e jazz(nella chiave moderna di Wayne Shorter e Pastorius): il risultato e’ un sound originale e non riconducibile a uno stile in particolare,fra lo smooth jazz e il chillout, che comprende anche dolci ballate italiane.
Sin dall’inizio della sua carriera in SL Swina ha costantemente eseguito, rigorosamente dal vivo, solo le sue canzoni originali, riscontrando un crescente ed affettuoso sostegno da parte del suo pubblico.Ha sempre creduto nella importanza dei palchi virtuali di Second Life per la promozione e la diffusione della musica indie proveniente da tutto il mondo.

Roberto Tardito nasce a Ivrea il 17 marzo del 1984.
Dall’età di sei anni inizia a studiare pianoforte, e negli anni successivi perfeziona la tecnica chitarristica, già impostata da autodidatta.
L'ascolto appassionato di ogni genere di musica, in questi anni di formazione, aiuta a far si che Roberto inizi a comporre musiche per conto proprio, talvolta rimodellando frammenti di ogni tradizione europea.
Dall'altro lato coltiva l'amore per la letteratura e la poesia. Nascono così le prime canzoni.
Non solo questo, però. Il 2003 è dedicato alla composizione delle musiche per lo spettacolo teatrale "Simone Veil".
Tra il 2004 e il 2005 inizia un'intensa attività concertistica, culminata in un concerto alla manifestazione Tavagnasco Rock, in una serata comune con Mauro Pagani e Morgan.
Nel 2006 si dedica alla realizzazione del progetto discografico "CONTROVENTO" nel quale hanno suonato alcuni dei più famosi artisti italiani quali Francesco Guccini, Ivano Fossati, Angelo Branduardi, Fabrizio De Andrè, Niccolò Fabi, Samuele Bersani. .
Nel 2007 e 2008 presenta l'album in 57 concerti in SL.
L'ultimo album "Otrebor" è stato lanciato ufficialmente in Second Life.

Una predisposizione per le arti la porta a dedicarsi alla pittura fin da bambina ma è poi già da grande che troverà la sua chiave di volta, la fotografia. Intraprendendo quello che credeva essere un gioco e un semplice hobby si rivela essere un amore incondizionato per la bellezza in ogni sua forma e una necessità di trasmettere le emozioni intrinseche e talvolta nascoste della natura nella sua simbologia.

In SL Djoni si è per un po' celato sotto le spoglie di TB Andel, ma ora ha deciso di liberarsi dalla morsa di TB ed è pronto per emozionarci con la sua fantastica chitarra!
Djoni suona la sua musica con il cuore e suona le cose che ama improvvisando col tocco delle sue dita agili.

Swina's Mood presenta i DJN Project in Second Life

Nel corso del consueto appuntamento con Swina's Mood, Swina Allen incontrerà i DJN Project, un gruppo di New York da cui è stato contattato per curarne in ogni detaglio la promozione inworld.
Il club "Ex-Sense" di Milano Vera ospiterà pertanto il debutto in Second Life di questo duo che ha tuttta l'intenzione di sfruttare al massimo le potenzialità offerte dalla piattaforma virtuale dia in termini promozionali che di marketing virale.

I DJN Project sono Rick "Galactik" Wilkinson e Ruben "Swift" Vidal .
Nel 2005 i due si sono incontrati grazie ad un comune amico Doug Brown, che assistente di Johnny Wright all'epoca.

Rick G, che allora viveva ad Orlando, decise di trasferirsi a New York dove l'industria musicale era in grande fermento.
L'amore di Swift per la musica house ha avuto inizio al Club Shelter( http://www.clubshelter.com/ ) uno storico locale di NYC di Underground House Music .
Swift ha ancje collaborato con Jay-Z, DJ Green Lantern, Eminem, Busta Rhymes e molti altri artisti nei settori del sound engineering, marketing ed assistenza in generale.

Doug combinò pertanto questo incontro con Rick G and Swift. Dopo l'incontro nacque il DJN Project. Entrambi erano dunque coinvolti nella produzione di musica r&b music all'epoca, ma erano anche alquanto impegnti e non trovavano il tempo di produrre della musica originale.

Tra il 2006 e il 2007, Rick G e Swift si scambiarono idee per delle canzoni avanti ed indietro per la maggior parte dell'anno, mentre Swift era in tour con Justin Timberlake, Fergie e RBD come Hype Man. Quando Swift ritorna a casa dal suo viaggio, DJN Project era finalmente in grado di riunirsi per registrare la loro musica.
DJN Project ha prodotto il primo album house nel Novembre del 2007 intitolato "Everlasting". All'inizio , ne' Rick G ne'Swift sapevano un granchè dei any DJ o delle persone coinvolte mella musica dance in generale. Swift era coinvolto soprattutto nell' hip-hop, e Rick G nel r&b.

"Feel For You" è stato pubblicato nel Marzo del 2008.

Grazie all'interesse suscitato da "Feel For You" DJN Project sono stati invitati a esibirsi dal vivo alla Winter Music Conference 2008. Dopo la WMC 2008, il DJN Project è stato in grado di iniziare delle collaborazioni esclusive con Kenny Bobien, Arnold Jarvis, e Louie Vega.

DJN Project ha tanto da proporre per la dance music introducendo un nuovo genere di house chiamato HIP HOP HOUSE con l'aiuto di Busta Rhymes, Paul Wall, Juelz Santana, ed. L'idea di base è stata quella di sdrammatizzare al massimo la dance music rendendola piacevole per i giovani.

Nel corso dell'incontro Rick G e Swift eseguiranno per la prima volta i loro pezzi ma naturalmente Swina coglierà l'occasione di porre loro alcune domande che renderanno possibile illustrare cosa li abbia spinti ad utilizzare Second Life come strumeno di promozione e quali sono gli obbiettivi che essi si prefiggono di raggiungere. Naturalmente, come di consueto, al pubblico presente in modo virtuale sarà possible proporre qalunque domanda.
Probabilmente l'esempio dei DJN potrà essere seguito da altri musicisti attivi in Real Life:non possiamo fare a meno di sottolineare quanto efficace ed anche conveniente in termini economici sia la organizzazione di tour musicali in Second Life, che permettono di raggiungere un pubblico davvero internazionale, suonando comodamente da casa propria!

Il progetto nasce nel 2003 dopo una magnifica avventura di una rock cover-band (Substrato), con l'obiettivo di realizzare un tributo live ai Depeche Mode e alla loro musica.

Del gruppo originale resta la voce (Marcello) e la sezione ritmica (Matteo e Paolo poi sostituito da Stefano), ai quali si aggiungono successivamente Fabrizio (tastiere, synth e campionatori) e Andrea (chitarra).

Sull'onda emotiva di Marcello e Fabrizio, fans accaniti da sempre, e Andrea, fan recente ma non meno accanito, il gruppo vuole cercare di dare una propria interpretazione alla musica dei Depeche Mode, senza stravolgerne i contenuti, alla ricerca del giusto mix fra originale e cover.

Ecco il perchè di una formazione che volutamente non ricalca fedelmente l'originale, ma che è in grado di spaziare agevolmente in tutta la discografia dei Depeche Mode, dalle sonorità più elettroniche dei primi anni 80 fino a quelle più dure che caratterizzano l'ultima produzione.

Il repertorio dei M4TM interamente suonato dal vivo, con la sola eccezione di alcuni campioni utilizzati per ricreare un più della magia del gruppo di Basildon.

I Mode For The Masses cercano di allargare per quanto possibile la già nutrita e fedelissima schiera di fans dei Depeche Mode, riproponendo la loro musica con la magia del live e cercando di coinvolgere anche chi a loro non si è mai avvicinato.

Il tutto, come sempre, guidato dalla passione per la musica e da una sana voglia di divertirsi!

Wendy Curtiss is a consumate, seasoned, entertainer/singer/songwriter and guitarist. Her experiences have covered years and miles of travel. Starting out first, in the state of Connecticut, she eventually decided to settle in the state of Washington, after playing in California, Oregon, Montana, Idaho, and Utah. She even did shows in tourist cities in Mexico!! For a period of 6 years, she traveled and worked with Hotel chains like Best Western and Holliday Inns, playing 6 nights a week and performing requests and the hits of the day. After tiring of the road and its lack of roots, she settled in the Seattle area of Washington and continued to perform regularly on a nightly basis. She started doing her own originals at her performances about 20 years ago. Her song themes and lyrics will easily reach your soul with subject matter that anyone can relate to. Her style ranges from country to blues to jazz and light rock. She enjoys keeping it varied, and feels that this is important to an audience. Wendy had the opportunity to open for Faith Hill and Tim McGraw at the Gorge, in Washington, a few summers ago. Since 1996, Wendy has produced 4 CDs of original material, recording with the finest musicians the Northwest has to offer. Her music has recieved attention in Nashville, as well as Auston Texas. Silas Scarborough è uno dei più bravi chitarristi elettrici inworld :dopo aver suonato per molti anni con la sua band i Freezebirds ha iniziato una carriera da solista. In Second Life suona le tastiere, il basso,e la chitarra . La sua gioia più grande la ricava suonando una Godin xtSA con synthesizer in grado di fornire un enorme potenziale espressivo!

Silas has been playing electric guitar for many years in a history that started with his days with the Freezebirds but which evolved into an online act in Second Life that features keyboards, bass, vocals, and guitar. His greatest joy is playing a Godin xtSA guitar that has synthesizer capabilities as that gives a tremendous expressive potential.

Silas doesn't play a fixed schedule in Second Life but you can join his Silas Xanadu group to get notified when he is playing and when he is shooting videos. Silas works with Telia Soyer in designing and shooting the videos and they have made five music videos in Second Life so far. There will definitely be more to come!

E' arrivato in SL proprio come un tornado e ha lasciato il suo publico meravigliato e stupito Ma invece di andare alla ricerca di un rifugio i suoi fans non fanno altro che seguirlo alla ricerca di tutti i suoi concerti, Strummer è un meraviglioso musicista RL/SL . Suona tastiere, chitarra, e la sua armonica vi farà volare via blow! Ma è soprattutto con la sua voce che vi incanterà l'anima. E' una voce potente e emozionante.Sebbene egli sia in grado di suonare una grande varietà di musica il suo genere preferito resta il blues!
Strummer Vultee is from Tulsa Oklahoma, where tornados are expected. Should have known he would come to SL just like a tornado and leave his audience amazed and dazed. But instead of heading for shelter, they go out looking for the next time he hits the grid! Strummer is an awesome RL/SL musician. He can play keyboard, guitar, and his harmonica will blow you away! But what will really rock your soul his is voice. It is very powerful and moving. Although he can play a wide variety of music, he really brings it home when he plays the blues!
